The Jaunsaras were known to many as the proprietors of the Overland Hotel in Gardnerville, Nevada. They gave quarter to many people during their time as hotel operators. However, they did not always live in Gardnerville.

The interview starts in Wellington, NV where they ran the Wellington Bar since 1927. They moved to Reno in 1947, eventually making their way to Gardnerville, where they originally leased the Overland.

They also describe the impact their businesses had on the community of herders and travelers. They provided services to the herders as well as their President's Day parties every year.
