From Music to Monuments The Basque Studies Program Occasional Papers Series offers serious reading on various topics of interest to Basques and scholars involved with Basque subjects. The titles in the series cover a broad range of concerns including politics, anthropology, music, and art. Arriaga, the Forgotten Genius, by Barbara Rosen, is the life story of Juan Crisóstomo Jacobo Antonio de Arriaga y Balzola, a Basque composer of the nineteenth century, considered by many to be Iberia's only great classicist. Essays in Basque Social Anthropology and History includes articles on Basques hotels, Basques in Colombia, and Basque legends. Fifteen distinguished authors contributed articles to this volume. Basque Politics: A Case Study in Ethnic Nationalism, edited by William A.
