Anglo-American Basque Studies Society In January the second newsletter of the Anglo-American Basque Studies Society was published. It contains several features of interest to anyone with a scholarly interest in Basque topics. The newsletter is divided into six sections which include: Basque Bibliography designed to keep the readership abreast of recent publications about Basque subjects. Euskal Herriko Berriak or “News of the Basque Country” devoted to an overview of academic developments in the Basque Country as well as research in progress. Journal Contents in which the articles in the most recent issues on the major Basque Studies journals around the world are listed. Members’ Activities in which members are encouraged to inform one another of their current projects. New Additions is a listing of the titles of the new books received at the Basque Studies Program and which are available on interlibrary loan. The Forum which is a section in which the members are encouraged to express their opinions about any aspect of Basque Studies or Basque-related topics. The AABSS newsletters will be published twice annually and sent to the membership only. Members will also receive publications in the projected Occasional Papers Series of the Basque Studies Program. Anyone is eligible to join the Anglo-American Basque Studies Society. Student memberships are $5.00 annually; regular memberships are $10.00 and Sustaining Patrons are requested to contribute $25.00.
