New Bibliography of Basque-American Studies

The Gale Research Company of Detroit, Michigan has published a bibliography entitled Basque Americans: A Guide to Information Sources edited by William A. Douglass and Richard W. Etulain. The book is arranged into sixteen sections. The most extensive listings are to be found under “General Works,” “History of the Basques in the United States,” and “Language.” Additional subject areas covered in individual chapters include: Bibliographies and Reference Works, Basque Collections – Libraries, Periodicals, Social Sciences, Physical Anthropology, Literature, Folklore, Films and Documentaries, Sports, Games and Festivals, Art and Music, Education, Cookbooks and Hotels, and Popular Accounts: Books, Magazines and Newspapers.

Descriptive annotations accompany each entry to provide an indication of the work’s scope and content. The work contains Author, Title and Subject indexes.

Basque Americans: A Guide to Information Sources is volume 6 in the Ethnic Studies Information Guide Series which is part of the Gale Information Guide Library. It may be ordered from Gale Research Co., Book Tower, Detroit, Michigan 48226. The cost is $36.00.
