Publications The April 1979 issue of the Nevada Magazine contains a special section on Basques. Included are excerpts from Robert Laxalt’s Sweet Promised Land, information on Nevada’s Basque festivals, an article on Basque hotels and a guide to Nevada’s Basque restaurant by William Douglass, comments on Basque cuisine by Jon Bilbao, and a collection of recipes taken from the book From the Basque Kitchen published by the Zazpiak-Bat Basque Club of Reno. In the Autumn 1978 issue of World Literature Today there are reviews by Xavier Ormazabal of Bitoriano Gandiaga’s work Uda batez Madrilen; by Christy A. Webber of Txillardegi’s Leturia-ren Egunkari Ezkutua; and of Antonio Labayen’s Teatro Osoa Euzkeraz by Virginia C. Jacobsen. Volumes 8 and 9 of Jon Bilbao’s definitive Eusko- Bibliographia have recently appeared. Volume 8 completes the original work and contains the beginning of the supplement covering all Basque-related publications that appeared between 1960 and 1975. Volume 10, which will conclude the supplement, is in press. The bibliography is published by the Editorial Auñamendi of San Sebastián, Guipúzcoa. |
