Photographs from Sunset

Sunset Magazine recently donated a large portion of its Basque photographic inventory to the Basque Studies Program. On August 26 a luncheon was hosted in Reno by Mr. L.W. Lane, Jr., publisher of Sunset. The photos and slides of Old and New World Basque scenes were presented at that time and accepted by UNR President Max Milam on behalf of the university.

Senator and Mrs. Paul Laxalt were honored guests at the presentation, as were university personnel and members of the North American Basque Organization who had assisted the magazine in its preparation of its popular June 1976 issue featuring a Basque cover story.
