Travels with My Royal: A Memoir of the Writing Life
Laxalt divides this small book of memoirs into three sections. The first part describes scenes from his youth in Carson City and as a student at the University in Reno. His career as a writer is the subject of the next section, from reporter to director of the University of Nevada Press. In the last part, he discusses several of his works, including where the ideas were drawn from and challenges that he faced in writing them.
